20 Weeks!

We are halfway there! Only 20 weeks or less from meeting little miss! We celebrated our halfway mark in Atlantis and I'd have to say that 20 weeks is the perfect time to take a vacation while pregnant. My husband is pretty awesome and earned a trip to this beautiful place, so we celebrated a babymoon, a halfway point, and our five year anniversary ( a little early) all together. More on that later though...here is a little update on baby girl at 20 weeks!

This was definitely baby girls big growth week. My tummy has popped and I'm pretty sure she has moved farther up. I'm sure I've put on a few pounds as well. I ate so much food this past weekend in Atlantis and I'm sure that contributed to my tummy getting larger :) I have an appointment next week so I'll know more around 22 weeks how much she and I have grown. My belly button is beginning to disappear, but is still sticking out a little. I'm finally looking pregnant!

I had the worlds worst sinus infection this past week. I literally wanted to die. I seem to only get these when pregnant. It's just one of the symptoms I struggle from. And I think it's still lingering around. Other than dealing with that sickness it have felt great. I get the occasional round ligament pains and my face has to decided to break out again. It must be true that baby girls take all your beauty ;) Sleep has been decent. My hips still hurt, but my pregnancy pillow helps  and I of course slept great on vacation.

I am finally feeling baby girl move a lot more during the day. I think it's because she moved up. Sometimes I still feel movement low, but lately I have felt it more up by my belly button. I love being able to feel her and any time I get nervous that I haven't felt her for a while, I'll just give her a little nudge and she usually responds...usually. John hasn't felt her yet, but I'm hoping that will come soon.

I haven't had any real cravings this last week. I just want and need food all the time. Steak and hamburgers still don't sound appetizing. I can eat them if I need to, but it's very rarely something that sounds good to me.

I had a lot of favorites this past week including our babymoon, buying a double stroller that broke the bank, but will be so worth it, purchasing some more items for baby girl, and just loving on my family. Gosh can't wait to meet this little one in about four months!

 Here's to another week!

19 Weeks!

I am 19w3d today. We had our Anatomy Scan this week and baby girl looks great! She didn't cooperate well for the ultrasound...she was asleep most of the time which made it great to be able to look around at everything, but we could not get her to turn out (she was facing my back), so we didn't get to see her face and also where the umbilical cord connects to the stomach. I guess these things are important to cross off on the scan, so I get another ultrasound at my next appointment. But nothing to be concerned about. She looks great!

Baby girl is measuring right on, only one day off of my due date, so they are still going to keep it June 11th. My tummy is measuring a half of a centimeter small...does that really matter?! I never got measured with Camden so it seems weird to me, but the doc knows best. I did manage to put on four pounds in the last month! So I am currently weighing in at 126, just about right where I was with Camden around 19 weeks.  Maternity clothes suck right now! My pants won't stay up, but I need them because my belly is too uncomfortable in my normal pants, plus I don't really like when you can see pants undone under a shirt. Maybe I am weird, but this totally bugs me. My shirts are getting shorter as you can see in the picture above. I'm pretty much just not liking any of my clothes. I wish it was socially acceptable to wear maternity leggings everywhere I went, but it's not.

Pregnancy Symptoms this week haven't been bad. My snoogle A.K.A  pregnancy pillow, has really helped my hip issue. I wouldn't say all my hip pain is gone, but it's at least under control. I've been a little more moody this week than usual. I blame it on the January weather, not pregnancy :) My ligaments are stretching and making room for baby girl and I must be pumping a lot more blood now because I get the occasional dizzy spell and feel like I might pass out. SLOW DOWN RANDI! Sleep has improved, for the most part. I can now toss side to side and stay asleep while doing it because of my snoogle. I really miss sleeping on my tummy and back and I have also really missed my mom patience this week...it's been missing. I hope it comes back soon.

Baby girl's movements this week have been much like last week. I feel little nudges here and there and I am noticing them more at night, but that's also when I am holding still the most, so maybe that's why. I really don't have a lot of cravings with this pregnancy. I really like chips and salsa and I eat it a lot, but I did before too. Some things that don't sound good at all are steak and hamburgers.

My belly button has been poking out for the past three weeks or so, which I'm totally fine with because I am finally starting to show. I thought it would come faster this time around, but I have felt like I am stuck in the "that girl ate too much" category for a little while.

This week has been so much fun! We decided to get started on the nursery since Camden got moved to his big kid room. We got her crib bedding at Pottery Barn Kids. It's pink, grey, and white. I found the most pretty antique chandelier locally on a yard sale sight. John spruced it up and I can't wait to get it hung, and we also have been painting the room. I can't wait to see it all come together. I know with the help of my husband it's going to be fabulous!
 Here's to another week!

 She is still a girl!

She waved at us with both of her little hands!

And the only thing close we could get of her face. She was facing down and backwards!

18 Weeks!

18 Weeks and moving right along. Part of me thought this pregnancy was going to slow down once we found what we were having, but I sure was wrong. Every week really seems to just fly by. I think life is just more busy with this pregnancy then it was with Camden. That little boy keeps me pretty busy. If time would like to slow down, I would probably be just fine with that. We have a lot to get done in the nursery to prepare for baby girl and I know I need to soak up the time with just my little boy before life changes... a lot.

I am unsure how much a weigh right now, but I do have an appointment on Wednesday, 19 weeks, so I should have a better idea then. I have been able to eat these past three or so weeks and I haven't thrown up so I am expecting about a 5lb. increase :)

My sleep has sucked this week. Well, at least half of it. I toss and turn and feel like my hips are going to fall off (is that possible?!) I decided to go splurge and buy another pregnancy pillow...the first one I had can't be found. It has helped a lot! I still toss from one side to the other, but my hips are doing better and I am finally catching some zzz's. Some other symptoms this week have been headaches and dizziness.

I haven't had many cravings, just really hungry. I eat every couple of hours and feel like it is something I am constantly doing. I haven't been eating the most healthy foods. I seem to be wanting to eat all the fattening things. I need to eat more fruits and veggies.

I've had more and more movement this week. I was in the tub one night and baby girl was going crazy! I could see and feel it from the outside and that was really awesome. I still don't feel her everyday. I can't wait until John is around when she is doing one of her gymnastics routines.

I am looking forward to our anatomy scan on Wednesday. I want to know that baby girl is healthy and growing just the way she should be. I am also curious if my due date has changed at all. John and I are also looking forward to decorating the nursery and getting everything ready for baby girl, but before that we are especially excited to get out of this cold, yucky January weather and enjoy a nice trip to the Bahama's. It's nice to know I won't have to fit with my clothes for a few days. I get to lounge around in a swim suit and maxi dresses with the sun and the sweet smell of the ocean blowing on my face. We're pretty excited and it'll probably be our last trip just the two of us for a little bit.

Here's to another week and almost being half way there!

17 Weeks!

Here is baby girI at 17w3d. ( I'm a little late with this weeks bumpdate considering I'm 18 weeks tomorrow) I have felt some tiny wiggles and little nudges here and there. It's not an everyday thing at this point, and there is really not a certain time i feel it right now. I am just glad i am feeling something. I honestly have felt so normal this last week and it had me worried something was wrong.

I've been so hungry this past week. It's like I can't eat enough for the two of us. I find myself eating an early lunch at 10:30 in the morning and another lunch when I feed Camden. My energy is coming back and John can tell.  I've managed to stay up until 10:30-11:00 most nights. My head is spinning with nursery ideas and all the things I want to get done during my second trimester. I know I won't feel like doing much come April...I won't have the energy! We decided to move Camden into his new room this past weekend where he'll eventually occupy a big boy toddler bed. We are going to hold off on that for a couple more months. Now the nursery is cleared out and we can now start preparing for baby girl to come.

Some other symptoms I have been experiencing are round ligament pains...not everyday, but when they do come I've got to take a break and lay down or get in the tub which I seem to do five times a day anyway. I'm also having horrible hip pain at night and leg cramps. Its so bad I have to get up and walk to make everything feel better. I feel like my body needs a good stretch.  One of my new years resolutions. ..get a new king sized bed!

I'm still amazed at how fast this pregnancy has gone. This next week John and I will get to have baby girl's anatomy scan done. This is always nerve racking, but reassuring at the same time. I can't wait to see this baby girl. A lot of things can change in four weeks :)

Oh and because I want to remember...coming up with a name for little miss is no easy task, and one that might not take place until we meet her. John and I seem to agree on only one name right now which is Kennedy ( maybe spelled different). Some names in the running are Navie, Lainey, and Maisie. Honestly this list changes weekly. Oh and if she decides to come at the very tale end of May her middle name might have to be Mae. Stay tuned...she probably won't have a name until her birthday! Mom and dad are too indecisive!
