Week 37-38
Today I am 38 Weeks pregnant and definitely ready to have this baby girl! We don't have too much longer...12 days at the most! Everyday I have to tell myself I can do this. My body and my mind are done. I'd be lying if I didn't say I thought she'd be here by now...or I at least hoped she would have come this last weekend :) I had my 37 week appointment last Thursday and found out I did progress a little more and am now dilated to a 3 and am 75% effaced. That's how far I was when I was induced with Camden at 39w4d. So, I guess I was hoping that because I dilated quicker this time that Harper might come sooner...and she still could, but we are fine if she decides to wait until June 8th. I have tried to induce labor by doing a lot of walking and trying a few other things, but honestly I am feeling pretty good for being 38 weeks pregnant, so I am guessing she is going to stay put. I feel very blessed to carry my babies full term and that they are healthy and chunky! I am going to try and focus on that for the next 12 days instead of getting down that she isn't here yet. We are lucky to get her forever, so 12 days won't kills us.
I really have no idea what to expect with two kids, but I do know I am ready to jump in feet first. I know the first little bit will be an adjustment, but I am so excited to see this little girl fit right into our family. I am feeling overwhelmed with gratitude for the opportunity to have two children. Camden has been such a blessing and I know Harper will be too.
I've been having the typical pregnancy symptoms that you have this late in the game...braxton hicks, cramping, waddling, peeing seven million times at night, exhaustion, hot flashes, etc. I have actually slept better than expected though, so I am taking full advantage of that. My cravings have basically consisted of chocolate or sugar of any kind and pebble ice...we bought a whole bag from Ice Berg and I finished it off all by myself. I finally started to put on weight again at my last appointment. I don't think I have ever wanted to see the numbers go up, but I had not gained weight for about two-three weeks, so when I saw that the scale read 142, I felt much better. I'm right on track to end where I did with Camden. I wear maternity clothes everyday...actually mostly just maxi skirts and dresses. Most of my maternity bottoms are tight on the bottom of my belly because Harper has dropped. Right now it's all about being comfy and it's been really hot here, so the less layers the better. My belly button is completely flat and I still don't have any stretch marks. My baby girl is getting big and if I had to guess how much she will weigh when she is born I'd say 7lbs 13oz. I can't wait to meet her!
My next appointment is this Friday. Doc will strip my membranes and if that doesn't work, then June 8th it is! She is going to be out of town from May 31st- June 7th, so if I do end up going into labor over those dates, I will be giving birth with one of the other doctors in her office. We are looking forward to the day when she is finally here. Everything is ready so we'll take her whenever she decides to come.

30 weeks!!!!
Wahoo to 30 weeks!!! Do I really only have two more months?! It seems so close and yet so far away. I'm hoping in a way it will go fast and also I'm scared at the same time. We really can't wait to meet this little girl though. I've noticed it's becoming more and more real lately...I sometimes think I need to pinch myself and wake up from this dream I am living in. I have been feeling so grateful to be having a baby girl and to already have a fun, spunky, energetic boy. Babies really are miracles. I get emotional thinking about it. I can't wait for the first time we lock eyes with each other. I know it'll be so special because it was with Camden. I know what to expect this time and the anticipation is about to kill me.
I had a doctor's appointment this week and everything went great. My pain from last week has gone away. We still aren't sure what is was, but my doctor said it could possibly be a Kidney stone. If the pain comes back I am to go back to the ER and labor and delivery. Lets hope it's gone for good though. Baby girls heartbeat sounded great and as far as weight...I am weighing in at 136! Exactly the same weight I was with Camden at 30 weeks. I'll take it :) I am definitely wearing maternity clothes. I don't look forward to getting dressed everyday i'm not going to lie. This could be from the lack of clothes I have that actually fit me right now, or the fact I don't want to buy more maternity clothes so my choices are very limited. Mostly i just hang out in leggings at home all day if I have no where to go. Soon i'll probably just live in some of John's basketball shorts because that kind of stuff is all I am comfortable in.
My symptoms have been the normal stuff that comes along with the third trimester. I am exhausted and run out of breath just from walking down the hall :) I've had stuffy nose at night lately, and like I said, I am peeing a lot. There is no way to hold it. when I have to go, I have to go! I've had some back pain, indigestion, and crampy feet. But over all I am doing pretty good this week and happy to report that I haven't had nearly the amount of Braxton Hicks with this little girl like I did with Camden.
I can't really think of any real cravings I have. I am actually finding it hard to eat sometimes because all my organs are squished. I kinda just eat to eat. I'll always take sugar though...that's a given :)
We are just about ready for baby girl to come. She still needs some essentials like burp clothes, bibs, diapers, bottles. Oh and a name...ha ha. But her nursery is just about there and there are a few projects I'd like to get done around the house before she gets here. We went to Fetal Fotos this week for a 4d ultrasound and she didn't really want us to see her and the umbilical was right in her face, so I get to go back this next week again. We did see a little of her face. I think she is going to look just like her brother. I am hoping we will get a good look at her so we can try to narrow down a name for her. There are a few personalized things I want to do in her nursery, so hopefully we'll know what to name her soon. We love you baby girl and can't wait to welcome you into this world and into our family.

25 & 26 Weeks
I am so grateful that we have made it another week. This pregnancy really is amazing to me and I am still amazed at how fast it has gone. It is so hard for me to believe that this little girl came on her own without the help of doctors. It reassures me more and more everyday that she is suppose to be a part of our little family at this time and that this is when Heavenly Father wanted her to come to this earth. We feel very blessed to be her parents and bring her into our crazy (but fun) life. I just know her and Camden will be the best of friends even if it does take Camden a little bit of time to warm up. I am sooo nervous to be a mommy to a 18 months old and a newborn, but I know with some time we will all adjust.
Here's to another week, and my fruit punch glucose test!

23 and 24 weeks!

22 Weeks
Today I am 22w5d. I had an appointment this last week. It went good...for the most part. I got an ultrasound since at my last appointment baby girl would show her face or tummy and they need to be able to check those things off the anatomy scan. The ultrasound tech said everything looked great and that baby girl was.measuring about 1.3lbs. But we know how accurate that can be :)
The not so good part came next when I met with the doctor and was told baby girls measurements were all over the place...which I of course took badly and let my pregnancy hormones get in the way. My feelings were very hurt. The doctor asked if I had gestational diabetes with Camden because our little girls abdomen circumference is measuring farther ahead than the rest of her measurements. I obviously didn't have it with Camden...I just think I'm going to have bigger babies. After all Camden was 8lb4oz. I tried not to read too far into it and am really trying not to pay much attention to this doctors bedside manner and the way he addressed the situation . I haven't been pleased with this doctor very much since my very first appointment. So, I made the decision this week to switch doctors. I just could not see myself giving birth to baby girl and this man being in charge of it. I probably should have switched sooner, but I feel ten times better about the doctor we will go meet on the 27th.
I put on four pounds in the last month, so I am currently weighing in at 130. I have currently put on a total of 6lbs over my prepregnancy weight. My stomach is still measuring about a centimeter behind, which i still don't understand how that even makes a difference.
Not many symptoms this week, just leg cramps and a few Braxton hicks here and there. Oh and I guess I forgot about the horrible migraine I did experience this week.
My sleep has been pretty good :) I have been waking up at about four in the morning and can't fall back to sleep, but I do feel like I am sleeping a lot better with this pregnancy than last time.
I have been craving pb&j's this week like crazy. I think I have managed to have one everyday. Other than that I just want to eat all.the.time. I'm surprised I have not put on a crazy amountof weight yet.
I can't believe that we only have four more months until we meet little miss. There are so many things I am looking forward to, but mostly I can't wait to see Camden love on his little sister. He has been so much more attentive when little babies are around or when we see one. I'm sure he'll lay a big wet one on her when he meets her. I know they'll be the best of friends! And that makes my heart want to burst.

21 Weeks!
Today I am 21w5d. Baby girl is getting bigger and bigger and I'm getting more and more scared to jump on the scale at this week's appointment. I need to eat more healthy so I don't come out of this looking like a large whale! My belly button is poking out a tiny bit and if people can't tell I'm pregnant by now, than they are crazy. I definitely don't feel like I am in the "that girl ate too many donuts" stage anymore.
Some symptoms I experienced this last week were...still a sinus infection. I'm happy to report it's finally going away. My face is still breaking out. Ugh! I hate it! I still have some dizzy spells occasionally. I'm hoping this doesn't have anything to do with my iron levels. And I tend to run out of breath quickly...especially when getting Camden dressed. It takes a lot of my energy. Other than these few things I feel great. This is definitely the high point of pregnancy for me.
My sleep has been great! I don't want to jinx myself, but ever since baby girl moved up out of my pelvic area my pain has been at a minimal with my hips. I've also been feeling her a ton. Camden fell asleep on me at church yesterday and she was going nuts. She probably felt a bit squished in there.
I have been craving fruity pebbles, chips and salsa, and pineapple tidbits this week. Like I said...I need to eat healthy, but for some reason all fat foods sound the best. Lets just say I ate a whole container of chocolate chip cookies by myself :) they were good!
I am looking forward to seeing baby girl at our appointment on Friday!
Here's to another week!
