Our 35 Week Adventure

Things just got real...

Last weekend started out just perfect with a fun date night with Steve and Kayla Shields. We decided to head to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. It was packed of course! My pregnant feet stood for an hour waiting to be seated. The workers felt pretty bad after making my big belly body wait, so they gave us the "star treatment". We got a nice comfy booth, a free appetizer, and the best service we have ever received. It was pretty nice I am not going to lie. After dinner we headed home and did was we do best...catch up! Steve and Kayla brought our little boy a gift and can I just say these two are awesome. Days before, Steve had asked John if there was anything we still needed...there's nothing we really need for the arrival of our baby, but there is always things we want :) They really thought out of the box! Steve's mom made me a hospital gown made out of the cutest black, white, and gray damask fabric. That way I can feel a little more pretty while in labor. I have seen these gowns, but was too cheap to by myself one. I am so glad these two thought about me :) They also gave us a gift card to go on a date after Baby Camden comes. Aren't they awesome?!

Saturday started out much different. I got up, didn't really feel well, but decided I had errands to run. While John did homework I went and got the things done I needed to and then we decided to head to Salt Lake. We wanted to check out a new store called "Sheels" that had recently opened and grab some lunch. All day long I really just wasn't feeling like myself. I felt like every where I walked I had to hold my belly up. I was cramping and my body was aching! We decided to head home and take it easy the rest of the night.

Who would have thought at midnight we would be heading to Labor and Delivery at Ogden Regional! I started to have contractions after waking up from a nap and they got worse as the night went on. By the time we got to the hospital my contractions were 1-2 minutes apart. The nurses monitored me for three hours. I was given two shots to help stop contractions. The first one didn't seem to help, so they gave me the second one and I started having a reaction to it. My pulse rate shot up to 137 and all of the sudden the machine started to alarm. Next thing I knew I was getting an oxygen mask thrown on my face! SCARY!I could not get air and my heart was raising. I was freaking out because Camden's heart rate shot up and basically I had not pictured having my baby like this. I wasn't ready and I was worried that if he didn't stay put for a couple more weeks that he would have to stay in the hospital. Once the nurses got everything under control my contractions stopped. We finally got to go home at four in the morning. I was told to stay down and take it easy.

At 35w4d I am dilated to a two and baby Camden is dropping. They would like me to keep him in there for another two weeks, or at least until 37 weeks when I will be considered full-term. Dr. Bierer was out of town while all this fun stuff took place, so I will see him tomorrow for a follow-up and also for my 36 week appointment. My last day at work was supposed to be November 2nd, but since our little scare, I didn't go back. Keeping baby Camden in is more important right now.

I feel like I still have some many things to take care of before he gets here, but I need to take it easy and relax. So, I'll take advantage of this I guess... :) and get all the rest I can until Baby Camden comes. Hopefully Dr. Bierer can give me some words of encouragement when we see tomorrow.

35 Weeks!

How far along? 35w2d

Size of baby? He is the size of a Honeydew

Total weight gain/loss: +20 from my pre-pregnancy weight of 122...so I am weighing in at 142! I'm feeling pretty good about this, even though I am over 140 :)

Maternity clothes? Yes, and sweats as soon as I get home.

Pregnancy symptoms this week? Exhaustion, Braxton Hicks, nausea in the morning, constipation (yes, I know! GROSS), frequent urination, and last, but not least lots of aches and pains.

Stretch marks? I still don't have any :)

Sleep: Besides waking up about six times a night, I am sleeping pretty good.

Best moment this week: I got all of Baby Camden's blankets and clothes washed. I also started packing our hospital bags. It's getting so close!

Miss Anything? oh...lots, but I am going to miss being pregnant with this little boy :)

Movement: Well...my ribs hurt from the kicks, and my bladder feels like it's going to fall out! Baby Camden likes to push him feet up and his head down all at the same time. It hurts!!

Food cravings: Fruit (canteloupe), and sweets. I made John go to Chili's and get me a Chocolate Chip Paradise Pie the other night! YUM!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really anything this week.

Have you started to show yet: oh yes...and drop! Baby Camden is getting ready to make his debut.

Gender: Baby Boy

Belly button in or out? This past week it has actually began to stick out a bit, which I find to be weird because it was flat for so long.

Wedding rings on or off? I can still wear it! No swelling yet!

Mood?  Still feeling a lot like last week. I am going to be a mom so soon, but I am so looking forward to it. I can't wait to meet this little guy. I am really nervous, but so excited!

Looking forward to: So many things... My doctors appointments will be weekly now, getting to stay home with my sweet baby (and Charlie of course)! I am also looking forward to celebrating the holidays with our new addition. Our Christmas tree will be going up the first week of November :) I want to make sure it's up when Camden comes home.

IHOP, Movies, and Fall Time

This weekend's weather was absolutely beautiful! I told John this past week that I wanted to make sure we do something fun and well...activities that would somewhat be hard when baby Camden gets here, for the next few weekends until he arrives. Everyone has made suggestions that we go see movies movies movies!

This Saturday we started our morning out with breakfast at IHOP and I of course had a nice cup of hot cocoa! I absolutely love going to breakfast on Saturday mornings with my husband...it's fun to roll out a bed and not have to worry about making anything :)

After breakfast we ran LOTS of errands and then went and saw Taken 2...The show gave me anxiety the whole time! I don't know what it is, but movies like this drive me crazy if I don't know what's going to happen. I would highly recommend it though :) and the best part...it was only 90 minutes long (not too long for an uncomfortable pregnant woman to sit and enjoy a movie)

After the movie we went home, did a little bit of sprucing up around the house, had some Cafe Rio, and spent the night at home watching another movie and enjoying each others company :)

The rest of the weekend was spent with family and enjoying the beautiful Fall weather. The mountains look so beautiful with all their Fall colors and it means baby Camden will be here soon. I love this time of the year!

34 Weeks!!

How far along? 34w3d

 I am feeling huge!

I can hardly believe I am going to meet and see this cute little boy in about 4-6 weeks! He has the most precious little face :) We had a hard time getting him to move his hands out of his face, but finally when we did, this is what I saw. Cutest little lips! Cutest little nose! And we could see a little bit of hair on his head!

Size of baby? At my 34 week appointment, baby Camden is weighing in at about 5.25 lbs. still measuring about two weeks ahead!

Total weight gain/loss: +19 from my pre-pregnancy weight of 122...so I am weighing in at 141!!! Can't believe I broke 140! I almost died when I saw the scale :( I haven't had any issues with gaining weight till this week...I am blaming it on the hormones ha ha

Maternity clothes? better believe it!!

Pregnancy symptoms this week? SO TIRED! I feel like I could sleep all day long, also had some more swelling in my feet. Doc says I need to elevate my feet every night and drink a lot of water.

Stretch marks? none, but my belly is so itchy!

Sleep: Not so great this week! I think my last post jinxed me! I was sleeping pretty good, but Camden does not like any position I sleep in, so I am tossing and turning ALL.NIGHT.LONG while Charlie and John are snoring ha ha

Best moment this week: 34 Week Appointment. Got Some more pics of our sweet baby boy.

Miss Anything? oh...just feeling blessed to be pregnant with a healthy baby boy. All the things I miss can wait.

Movement: Baby Camden is a mover! His moves are feeling more like jabs here and there now. I can see my entire belly move when he kicks his legs and feet. He however could care less to move those little hands out of his face during our ultrasounds though...I guess he wants it to be a surprise when we see him for the first time!!

Food cravings: Paces Popsicles, and still hot chocolate...I hate to admit that I have been stopping at McDonald's every morning to grab one :) So yummy!

Anything making you queasy or sick: soda

Have you started to show yet: very much so! Even my maternity clothes are getting tight.

Gender: Baby Boy

Belly button in or out? flat as can be! You can kind of see it through my shirt though :)

Wedding rings on or off? It's still on :)

Mood?  OH.MY.GOSH! I am going to have a baby! I am going to be a mom in just 6 short weeks (at the most) I wonder what he will look like, I wonder how big he will be.... I wonder what his little personality will be like.

Looking forward to: My work baby shower, only two more weeks of working till I get to be a stay-at-home mom,and finishing up all our last minute things before baby Camden comes.

34 Week Appointment:
Our appointment this week went great! Baby Camden is healthy and growing right on track (even measuring a little ahead still) He had a huge growth spurt two weeks ago and these past two weeks gained a quarter of a pound.

I had a few questions for Dr. Bierer this week...

*I asked him what is my safe zone if I go into labor on my own. He said he would like to me to keep baby Camden in there until at least 36 weeks. if he came after that, they wouldn't stop me.

*I asked him if I didn't go into labor on my own if he would make me go over my due date. He said he wouldn't make me go over my due date if my cervix looked okay. so that means I would get induced on Thanksgiving :)

I have questions for him every time I go in, but still find myself feeling extremely unprepared! I decided this week that things will happen the way they are supposed to and I need to not stress so much!

33 Weeks!!

How far along? 33w4d

Size of baby? Baby Camden is about the size of a Pineapple. The Internet says he weighs about 4.23 pounds, but baby Camden is weighing more than that right now at around 5lbs :)

Total weight gain/loss: +17 from my pre-pregnancy weight of 122...so I am weighing in at 139!!!

Maternity clothes? Yes, all my bottoms I wear are maternity bottoms. I can't stand to where anything that is tight on my belly. All my shirts are no maternity though. Since the Fall weather has been upon us I am been loving cardigans.

Pregnancy symptoms this week? Sinus infection, exhaustion, back pain, swelling feet.
Stretch marks? not yet! But a VERY itchy tummy!

Sleep: I have been so tired lately. I take a nap when I get home from work and I go to bed at 8:30 at night. Even though I am waking up every hour to go to the bathroom, I am sleeping pretty good. (hopefully that will stay the same.)

Best moment this week: Finally getting rid of my sinus infection! And completing Baby Camden's room!

Miss Anything? oh...just feeling blessed to be pregnant with a healthy baby boy. All the things I miss can wait.

Movement: Yes! Baby Camden is more active during the day, but he has had a few late night parties in there this week.

Food cravings: Paces Popsicles, Chocolate Lucky Charms, hot chocolate ( oh how I LOVE hot chocolate)
Anything making you queasy or sick: soda

Have you started to show yet: Um...yes! I have a BIG belly! Everyone has noticed the belly is getting bigger, especially these last couple of weeks. Baby Camden must have decided to wait until the last minute to grow ha ha

Gender: Baby Boy

Belly button in or out? what belly button...it's so flat, it's like it's gone.

Wedding rings on or off? It's still on :)

Mood?  Happy Happy Happy...a little stressed about not getting everything done before Camden gets here, but I know it will all work out. I am also feeling anxious...we are very excited to finally meet this baby boy.

Looking forward to: Our 34 week appointment! We get a 3D ultrasound and will be able to see Baby Camden's little facial details. CAN'T WAIT!

Camden's Nursery

Camden's nursery is complete (well...for the most part!) We still need a ottoman for mom and dad to rest their feet on :) My thought is to find an old one from a rocker, and re-upolster it with the same fabric I used for the curtains...I am hoping John and I can manage to do this in the next month.

I can't tell you how long I have waited to decorate a nursery...boy or girl. I had ideas fluttering around in my head and couldn't wait to find out what we were having so we could get started on the nursery. When we found out we were having a little boy, I decided I wanted to have his nursery be a room he could grow up with. I am SO HAPPY to see how it has turned out. I had much help from my husband :) He did the dirty work...all the painting, wood cutting, and the beautiful large map that I just had to have on the wall! I got to do the fun part...DECORATE! It is everything and more than I have ever dreamed of. I hope Camden enjoys it as much as we do :)

32 Weeks!!

How far along? 32w6d

Size of baby? Remember at my 30 week post when Camden weighed 3lds 3oz?! Well...at my 32 week appointment Baby Camden weighed in at a whopping 5lds 5oz! Doctor said usually ultrasounds can be off about a half a pound, so he is guess that Baby Camden is weighing about 5lbs right now. He grew a lot in just two weeks...at this rate I am not sure he will make it until his due date :) but we shall see!

Total weight gain/loss: +15 from my pre-pregnancy weight of 122...so I am weighing in at 137!!!

Maternity clothes? Maternity Jeans...wear all three pair every week. I don't want to go buy any other bottoms since I am almost done.

Pregnancy symptoms this week? Braxton Hicks contractions (these have been pretty bad this week), Back pain, stuffy nose, feeling like baby boy is going to fall out ha ha

Stretch marks? None yet...but if my stomach grows anymore I am afraid I might see some at the end of my pregnancy.

Sleep: Sleep is going good...not the best, but I am sleeping so that makes me happy. I go to bed at about 8:30 every night because I am so exhausted. Even though I get up eight times a night to go to the bathroom, I can usually fall right back to sleep :)

Best moment this week: Our 32 Week appointment and my Friends and Family baby shower my mom hosted! We feel so blessed from all the support and many gifts we have been given. Baby Camden is already VERY loved.

Miss Anything? Lots, but I am feeling so blessed to be carrying this baby boy.

Movement: Baby Camden is a mover! I have noticed he sleeps more at night and is more active during the day...at least for now :)

Food cravings: No real cravings this week.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week...not even my iron supplement!

Have you started to show yet: Oh yes! I have most definitely got bigger in the last couple of week (guess that explains the weight Baby Camden has put on)

Gender: Still a little boy...daddy makes the doctor check at every appointment :)

Belly button in or out? completely flat!

Wedding rings on or off? On

Mood?  I am so happy to be pregnant! I am still feeling nervous to be a first time mommy, but I am hoping once Camden comes things will feel natural.

Looking forward to: Our 34 week appointment! We get a 3D ultrasound and will be able to see Baby Camden's little facial details. CAN'T WAIT!

31 Weeks!!

These posts get harder every week that goes by, but I know it is all stuff I want to remember, so I am being a good girl and trying my hardest to keep up on it :)

How far along? 31w6d

Size of baby? He is the size of a Pineapple.

Total weight gain/loss: Same as last week...my guess is because I was sick. +14 from my pre-pregnancy weight of 122...so I am weighing in at 136!!!

Maternity clothes? I have three pair of maternity jeans, they are more dressy so I I have been wearing them to work every week. The weather is cooling down, so no more summer skirts for me.

Pregnancy symptoms this week? Braxton Hicks contractions, Back pain, leg cramps and feet cramps are back!, heartburn when I eat certain foods.

Stretch marks? NOPE!!! Not yet at least :)

Sleep: Sleep is actually decent right now...I wake up every two or so hours to go to the bathroom, but I am so tired that I can usually fall right back to sleep. I have had to force myself to at least stay up until 8:30pm. I'm ready to call it a night by then :) Very similar to my first trimester. Also, I feel like John and I are Grandpa Joe and Grandma Georgine off of Charlie and the Chocolate factory...we sleep at opposite sides of the bed! Don't ask me why, I just sleep better.

Best moment this week:  I had my Huston family baby shower...and man did we get spoiled! I will do a seperate post on my shower later. A BIG thank you to my mother-in-law, sis-in-law, and all the family that came to support baby Camden and myself. We are so lucky to have such awesome family. We also got Maternity pictures done, and they turned out so cute! Can't wait to get the rest of the edited photos back. I am so glad we decided to do these photos because it's definitely a special time I want to remember.

Miss Anything? Sleeping on my back and tummy, that's about it this week. I know I am going to miss being pregnant when Camden comes, so I am enjoying all it has to bring.

Movement: Lots and lots and lots of movement. I feel more movement through out the day, than I do at night. I wonder if this means Baby Camden will sleep really good a night...I guess we will find out in eight weeks!!

Food cravings: Coke with extra ice please!

Anything making you queasy or sick: I got pretty sick this week. Besides fighting a cold and cough (yeah it came back) I decided to drink a glass of OJ after taking my prenatal vitamin and Iron pill...bad idea. I lost my entire dinner and unfortunately had to run to the toilet three times to throw up :( It was horrible! I can have OJ, just not with my vitamins.

Have you started to show yet: Yes :) We did our Maternity photo session last week and I made sure it was all about the baby bump! I am going to miss this tummy soon, but I do get a cute little boy instead, so I'll take that :)

Gender: Little boy...wonder what he'll look like?!

Belly button in or out? It's a flat one!

Wedding rings on or off? On

Mood?  I am experiencing so many different emotions right now...I am excited, scared, nervous, anxious, impatient...you get the idea.

Looking forward to: Our 32 week appointment on Thursday and my family/ friends baby shower on Saturday!

Infertility

What a yucky word! Unfortunately now days there are so many people that have to deal with this yucky word. There is a girls blog I have been following for the last year. This blog gave me the strength I needed and the hope I desired when I was going through infertility. I wanted to share with anybody who reads my blog and might be dealing with yucky infertility. So here you go :)

~Enjoy~

It always helps when there are others who you can relate to.

SNEAK PEAK of Maternity Pictures!

I am in LOVE with these photos we got taken by Elevated Films here in Utah. There are so many awesome places to get pictures done, but I am so glad we decided to go with Memory Grove. This is only a hand full of the awesome pictures Stacey and Kelly from Elevated Films took! We are so grateful they were able to capture this special moment for us. When I saw these I got super emotional realizing we really are finally have a baby and how blessed I feel...I guess it took me seeing my belly bump in a bunch of pictures for it to become reality ha ha. Stay tuned for my favorites when they are all edited!

29 and 30 Weeks!!!

These two week are going to be combined this week! Week 29 wasn't exactly the best week of pregnancy for me. I caught a cold from work and between a sore throat, cough, stuffy nose....and being pregnant, I got absolutely no sleep and the minute I got home from work I was out like a light the rest of the day! I am happy to say I am feeling much better today, and though I am still a little stuffed up, I will take that over a sore throat any day :)

I had another appointment on Thursday and baby Camden is growing and is healthy! That's always a relief to hear. Best part...HE FINALLY TURNED! He is getting ready to make his debut in just 9 (ish) short weeks. I was wondering why I all of the sudden felt like my belly had dropped a little...and I am feeling more pressure than ever in my abdomen.

So here is my 29/30 week survey...

How far along? 30w2d

Size of baby? Baby Camden is weighing in at 3lds 3oz at 30 weeks.

Total weight gain/loss: +14 from my pre-pregnancy weight of 122...so I am weighing in at 136!!!

Maternity clothes? I went and bought the cutest pair of boot cut jeans and skinny jeans at Motherhood Maternity...out of all places. I don't know if others feel this way, but I think of Motherhood Maternity of not the most hip pregnancy clothes...I was wrong! They carry petite size and they fit me perfectly!

Pregnancy symptoms this week? Braxton Hicks contractions, exhaustion, BACK PAIN, and had an acne breakout (haven't had much of a problem with that my entire pregnancy)

Stretch marks? not any yet...hopefully won't get any at all!

Sleep: Week 29 was terrible because I was sick...Week 30 has been better. Still waking up every two hours or so, but my body is getting used to less sleep.

Best moment this week:  30 week doctor's appointment! My iron levels are good, my blood pressure is good, baby Camden is healthy, and we are hopefully on our way to a complication free birth ha ha. I am so glad this little boy has decided to turn (even if I am feeling much more pressure and pain)

Miss Anything? I have a list :) but it's all worth it! And I really am trying to enjoy all the little things about this pregnancy. I know once Camden is out I am going to miss being pregnant.

Movement: Yes! In fact week 29 is when I think baby Camden decided to turn...it was painful! My entire tummy was moving! And now I get to feel his little feet up in my ribs all the time :) can't wait to kiss those little feet!

Food cravings: Pace's Popcicles, egg Mcmuffin's from McDonald's, and still lots and lots of water.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing really these last two weeks. The heat still hasn't gone away completely. Temperatures have been cooler, but anything above 80 makes me sick and so tired!

Have you started to show yet: yeah...I grew more these last two weeks and I am wondering who my tummy can possibly get bigger, but I am sure it will. I have also dropped a little since baby Camden turned.

Gender: It's a cute! cute! cute! little boy :)

Belly button in or out? It's flat this week...almost like I don't really have one anymore.

Wedding rings on or off? On

Mood?  So happy and can't wait to meet baby Camden. I am also at the same time experiencing some anxiety thinking about labor and that there will be a baby coming out of me lol! I guess everyone else does it, so hopefully I will be okay.

Looking forward to: Maternity couple pictures on Monday, and first baby shower in a week!

28 Weeks!! Hello Third Trimester

Am I really in my third trimester?! It's hard to believe...This pregnancy has gone by pretty fast, but I have a feeling these last 12 weeks are going to take the back seat. Things have been uncomfortable and I think it's going to make things go by a little bit slower :) I am finding myself getting stressed out thinking of all the things we need and the fact we are going to be parents in just 80 short days! I also can't wait to meet this little boy...I can't wait to see what he looks like, get to know his personality and just love on him. Our life is going to change so much, and we are so excited for it!

Here is my survey for this week...

 How far along? 28w6d

Size of baby? Baby Camden is the size of a Squash

Total weight gain/loss: No idea this week... Probably somewhere around +11 from pre-pregnancy weight of 122. So weighing in at 133 :) I am honestly too lazy to go pull out the scale to check...how pathetic am I?!

Maternity clothes? I need more! I don't want to buy more, but I need more! With gong back to work, I have tried to do the rubber band trick with my dress pants and it's just not working out. When I sit I am uncomfortable because its tight on my belly. I DO NOT LIKE TIGHT STUFF ON MY BELLY :) So even though I will only be at work for two more months, I probably need to buy at least one pair on pants and wear dresses every other day...I wish I could wear sweats.... (not really) but some days I feel this way ha ha

Pregnancy symptoms this week? Worst symptom this week...I CAN'T BREATHE! It scares me sometimes. I find myself waking up in the middle of the night and I am taking deep breaths because I can't seem to find any air. I have also had some back pain, and Braxton Hicks contractions.

Stretch marks? No, but my skin feels like it can't stretch anymore ha ha...I keep looking though and haven't seen any.

Sleep: I am still waking up every couple of hours, but I am managing to get the sleep I need to function :)

Best moment this week: My husband is amazing...can I just say that?! Best moment this week was receiving the adorable Baby Shower invitations that he created for my mom and his mom's baby showers coming up this month. He has also done a ton of designing in the computer for the shower. He is so talented and Love this little boy so much already! He just wants these baby showers to be perfect :)

Miss Anything? A lot of things, but I absolutely love being pregnant!

Movement: Lots and lots of movement everyday! Movements are becoming more defined and stronger...I can also tell things are getting a bit more squishy in there.

Food cravings: Water...if that can even be considered a craving.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Sweets...not loving them lately. It's like the first trimester all over again ha ha I am becoming picky about food more often.

Have you started to show yet: Yes...oh yes. People kind of stare at me when I am at the store. I wish I knew what they were thinking because I automatically assume they think I am some fat lady or something...dang hormones ha ha

Gender: It's a cute! cute! cute! little boy :)

Belly button in or out? It's poking out!

Wedding rings on or off? On

Mood?  Happy, irritable, emotional, anxious, excited...a whole lot of emotions! I am scared to be a mom...good thing these emotions are normal. Camden...I hope you will be patient as your mommy learns how to be a mom :)

Looking forward to: Baby Showers! And meeting our baby boy in about 80 days!!
