Happy Mother's Day

I can't believe I am going to be a {Mama}

I've got myself a small bump...whether is food or baby, I can't tell :) But I'll take it. I get a little emotional thinking about the fact that I get to celebrate today and all it's glory. I can't believe I am in my 12th week! That means my first trimester is coming to an end! It has actually gone by fast when I think about it, even though most times waiting to go to my ultrasound felt like FOREVER!

Today was such a great day! My mama is out of town (in Disney World, and I am so envious right now) So we didn't get to see her today, but we celebrated it with her last week with dinner, visiting, and gift giving. Today was spent with my dear Mother-in-Law,Carol. John and I are so lucky to have great moms in our life. If I can be half the mothers they are, then I will be a great mom :)

Thanks mom and Carol for your love and support, and most importantly your examples to me. I look up to the both of you so much and can't wait for you two to love and kiss on our little baby.

Our baby will have the best grandmas :)

Back to the Doctors for another ultrasound on Tuesday!

11 Weeks

Not much to report on this week...Just glad I can say I made in another week! I got this little baby in the mail today.

It's a fetal doppler...and I get to hear Baby Huston's heartbeat whenever I want. John's first reaction when I told him I was buy it was, "how much is that going to coat?" A lot you might think, but only $60! Only $60 to help keep me sane for the next 29weeks :)

I'd say it's worth it!

At first it was a little tricky to find...but once I heard the heartbeat the first time, I recognize it every time. Baby Huston's heartbeat is averaging about 157.

PURE.BLISS

This week I have started to feel a lot better. Still sick if I don't have something in my tummy at all times, but if I make sure I am eating every two hours, then the nausea stays away. I am still waking up during the night to eat saltines, but even this is starting to happen less. I have had a bit more energy, but still needing naps every now and then. LIFE.IS.GREAT! I am feeling blessed to have made it to this point.

10 Weeks

We made it...we made it past the scary and dreadful 9w5d... (the not so good news during the last pregnancy) I'm sure you could only imagine the excitement when I went to my 10w2d appointment and heard a healthy heartbeat and the little bean punch it's arm at us. BEST.SIGHT.TO.SEE

Baby Huston is doing great! and actually measuring ahead. Instead of being 10w2d and I measuring 10w6d :) Which I actually felt like that was the correct measurement anyway. So...our due date has changed to November 21st, but I am sure this won't be the last time that changes.

This week I did have a little scare. I got up one morning and was not sick at all...I didn't feel any sort of symptoms and this freaked me out! I called the doctors in a panic. They told me to see how I was feeling after work and give them a call...well sure enough I got home from work and BAM! I was sick! Thank goodness for being sick haha (never thought I would ever be so grateful for it)

John couldn't make my appointment with me this week, so I had my SIL Jenny come with and she would even have to admit I was an emotional mess when I got to the office. I was so afraid we weren't going to hear a heartbeat. Sure enough we did though!

Little baby...I am so glad we have made it this far! We need to obviously make it farther, but it is an accomplishment for both of us to make it to this point. You are teaching me a lot of patience and I know it will only make me a better mommy. I love you baby and I can't wait to see you again in two weeks. :)

8 Weeks

Well...we have been rather spoiled with Ultrasounds :) Because of our history, my doctor is extremely understanding and will allow us to come in every two weeks until the first trimester is over. Here is baby Huston at eight weeks...with a healthy heart beat and measuring perfectly! We love to here these things...it is definitely reassuring to us :)

I have been pretty sick since about 5 weeks and this week might go down as the worst morning (all day) sickness week EVER! I am sick in the morning, but mostly when I get home from work (luckily) They have had me on Zofran to help with nausea. I try not to take it very often, but this week I have had to take it everyday. I have also been super bloated (I am not showing, but bloated right now) Don't ask me with how sick I have been that I found the motivation to do this chalk board this week haha. I guess I must really love this baby and want to document all the special moments.

Being sick this week has been a bitter sweet thing. I know if I am sick everything is going good...so the day when I am not sick, I wish I was...sounds weird doesn't it?!

I feel so blessed...the end :)

5 Weeks

Today, I am five weeks pregnant! John and I still aren't sure if we actually believe it or not...it usually takes until the first ultrasound for us to really believe it's actually really happening.

Some symptoms this week have consisted of fatigue, and lots of it. Yesterday I literally took three naps! I find myself needing to take a nap after running any sort of errand. I have had a little bit of nausea, usually if I don't have something in my stomach every couple of hours. I have been better at stuffing my face this time to make sure I don't feel sick. I have also been super bloated! I mean super bloated! Pants are feeling tight, and I find myself having to unbutton my pants anytime I eat. There are some other symptoms, but I don't need to share those here :)

I haven't had any food aversions at week five, but I am sure those will come. I have been able to so far eat anything spicy and sweet. I am anxious to see if that will change at all. So, for now I will continue to stuff my face all of the goodness because if morning sickness comes this time, I will miss the food :)

This morning I was having an emotional time. (I have been so much more emotional and moody this time...YIKES!) I got up thinking I had absolutely no symptoms and that something was wrong. After discussing my feelings with John I felt much better. My goal this week is to be positive and not worry so much. I don't want to waste my time wondering about what could happen, and lose focus of the fact I AM PREGNANT! This is such an exciting time and I want it to remain that way. We have allowed ourselves to get excited and really can't wait for November to make it's way here. We are truly blessed :)

No picture this week, but I promise to have one next week at our six week appointment.

Pregnant!

Still can't seem to gather my thoughts from the post before...but I'll take a shot at it :) Last Thursday (March 15th) I got up in the morning mad and upset at the world because I just knew that my period was on her way. I could feel it...I decided to roll out of bed and head to work. All day long I waited for it to come. I literally ran to the bathroom every 30 minutes. Much to my surprise by lunch time nothing had come yet. So I decided to run to the store during my break and buy a pregnancy test. I tested....and saw a WAY faint line. Like, so faint I didn't even feel like I could get even the slightest bit excited because I didn't want to be let down again. Later that day I decided to go buy another pregnancy test and take it in a couple of hours. Well, I ended walking out of the store with seriously six pregnancy tests...all different brands. Every test I took began to have darker lines

**side note- even though I could see something I still couldn't believe it**

We were out of town Thursday night, so first thing Friday morning I gave RCC a call to see if they would allow me to do a blood test later that day when we got home. At this point I needed a definite yes or no! Even though my dear Sister-in-law said I was pregnant...John and I just couldn't believe it. After some long, excruciating hours we finally got a call that I WAS PREGNANT! My fourth IUI and my third round of Clomid finally did the trick! I really have no words to explain the feelings I felt...for one whole year I have waited for this day. Nobody thought that after a miscarriage it would take that long to conceive again. Month after month would pass, I would hope and pray to be pregnant, but it never came for us. So for it to finally come was a surreal moment for us.

This past year had been a tough one. We had gone through a TON of medical stuff, and shed a lot of tears. But honestly at this VERY moment I realized that all of that was worth it to get to this point. I feel a sense of accomplishment...that I was able to make it through one of my toughest trials I feel I will ever have to endure.

I feel blessed...and sure I am completely scared right now, but if I have learned anything in this process it's that things will happen the way they are supposed to. We are so excited, and though we are still nervous, John and I want to enjoy every single minute of this. I know my Heavenly Father did not forget me. At times I felt as if he did, but this has reassured me that he keeps his promise and truly desires that John and I have happiness in our life and our marriage together.

RCC will do an ultrasound for us at six and a half weeks and then they will send us on our way. I will miss them, but am glad we are able to "graduate" back to a normal OBGYN :) We will be seeing a new Doctor, different from the one we went to the first time around (too much emotion there) We are excited! He will do an ultrasound at eight weeks. (lucky me! two ultrasounds in a two week period)

Something else pretty awesome...
my due date with my last pregnancy was November 22nd.
my due date with this pregnancy is November 22nd.
Now, how did we manage to do that.... :)

I think this is the day Baby Huston is supposed to come...what do you think?!

No Words...

I have no words...just a feeling of complete amazement. Wow...we sure am blessed! So, until I can actually gather my thoughts, here are a few pictures :)

Jazz Game

John called me on his way home last Wednesday and told me to get ready because we were going to see the Jazz play. His boss gave him 7th row seats! The game sure does look and feel different when you are sitting that close. We enjoyed some good ol' Energy Solutions food and finished it off with some ice cream. The jazz won by six and man was it an intense fourth quarter. I love the spazz! (that's what I call them) and I loved going out on a date with my husband :)

(he hates when I take pictures)

Josh is HOME!

Okay...So I am a little late. Josh got home from his mission on March 9th and we had his homecoming on March 11th! It was a busy weekend, but so much fun to have the clan back together. Since Josh's flight didn't get in until 10:30pm we went to the Huston's for Cafe Rio, and some chatting. Waiting at the house was started to make us all crazy, so we decided to head to the airport early and wait there instead. We took a lot of pictures of ourselves...we were getting extremely antsy!

FINALLY Elder Huston headed down the escalators after a LONG two years away from his family. We sure missed him! He looked like he lost a lot of weight...and well, we all looked fatter to him ;)

After the airport we headed back to the Huston's for a sleepover...by this time it was about 11:30 and we knew we would want to stay up and talk with Josh. He showed us all his awesome souvenirs , and he even brought us all furry Russian Hats. (mine is a white snow fox, and John's is a normal fox)

(They were trying to hold serious Russian faces, but John couldn't stop laughing)

(Josh brought home this coat, and John modeled it for us all)

At about 2:00am we decided it was time for bed. The next morning John and I went to pick up Charlie so he could meet Josh. Charlie and Josh got off on a little bit of a rough start (Josh spoke Russian to Charlie so he thought Josh was yelling at him). After some time together, they like each other now.

Saturday was spent preparing for Josh's homecoming and Sunday was perfect! the weather was fantastic, Josh did so good with his talk, and lots lots of family and friends were there to support. It was a great weekend! It will be exciting to see what Josh decides to do with his life next...date? get married? school? We look forward to seeing where life takes him.

3 Year Anniversary

So, first I must start off by saying that I have absolutely no pictures for this post...how horrible am I? I am making a promise to myself to be better at taking pictures of what's going on in our adventurous life.

John and I celebrated our three year anniversary on Saturday. We had planned the entire day out and decided we would go for a massage in the morning. Well that didn't really work out...you see John thought I was booking the massages and I thought he was taking care of it, so by the time we actually got around to making an appointment, they were completely booked. So Saturday morning we got up and decided instead to head to Park City and do some shopping! (can't argue with that). We found lots of good finds (mostly for Josh because he gets home in five days), but all in all it was a lot of fun to hang out with the hubs, shop, and grab a bite to eat.

After Park City we headed home to get refreshed for the evening. We put on our fancies and headed to The Roof for dinner. It's one of our favorites and we have some great memories at that restaurant. After we had completely stuffed our faces full of food and more sugar then we could handle, we headed home and watched our wedding video. The rest of the night was pretty low key. It was a great 3 Year Anniversary! Here's to many more :)

Number 4...

We headed to RCC today for our FOURTH IUI...and it went really well :) I actually couldn't be happier with the fact I walked out of the doctors office in absolutely no pain. Now...we wait...two weeks! We did Clomid again with this IUI, and are hoping that with the two combined, plus working with a new awesome Doctor who specializes in this crazy stuff and did this procedure a little different from what we are used to, that we will have some luck. The Nurse practitioner who performed the IUI said if it works we must give her credit! I WILL... GLADLY!!

The Clomid wasn't too bad this month. I would say I am pretty lucky when it comes to side effects with this stuff. I have heard many horror stories, but my only side effect is hot flashes...and these babies are bad enough for me!

March is a LUCKY month for us...so we are hoping and praying for some serious LUCK OF THE IRISH!

P.S.- Our 3rd year anniversary is on Saturday! We have a fun day planned (more on that later). and Elder Joshua Huston gets home in ONE WEEK!!!
